Integr-Action (2007)
Experimental project through the music of the Other
“Integr-Action”, Video, 2007
This project features people from different backgrounds dancing and letting their emotions flow freely to music from different styles and origins while being blindfolded. The idea is to cover the person’s eyes and rotate them in an empty space so that they lose track of their position or that of the camera.
A dozen screens simultaneously capture the movements and gestures of each person. In this project, the viewer takes the role of a security guard of a place under surveillance. The viewer observes different attitudes of each individual to find the specific gestures that could eventually intrigue him/her. A gesture to which he/she could relate or react or simply be touched with (laugh, cry).
Performance: Andres Castro and Paterne Ndjambou
